What is CRAVE THE LOOK MENTORING? By utilizing the power of today’s technology, I am able to teach you in a live class how to rock your edits using Photoshop! We are able to connect online from anywhere in the world as long as you have an internet connection. I teach you my exact editing process. I don’t hold back any information. I am an open book, and I love to teach others and watch them succeed!
What will I learn? You will learn how to:
✓ Get soft natural skin and creamy skin tones
✓ Achieve bright sparkly sharp eyes
✓ Add gorgeous juicy light and deep bold rich shadows to your images (that otherwise did not exist)
✓ Create vivid color in your images
✓ Create softer creamier tones for a vintage look
✓ Edit beautiful black & whites
✓ Easily apply textures for added depth and toning
✓ Make your photos tack sharp
How does this work? We are able to connect online using a popular online web conferencing software. During a session you will be able to see my computer screen and listen to me explain my editing process to you live.
What is the minimum internet connection speed? It is recommended that you have a broadband, DSL, or cable connection. Dial up is not quite fast enough to support video conferencing. You can test your connection speeds at this site. If your connection speed is at least 1.5Mbps download and .75Mbps upload you should have no connection issues during the class.

Do I need to download any software before I attend the class? No, there is nothing for you to download before the class. On the day of the class, about 2 or 3 minutes before we start I send you an email. This email contains a hot link. You simply click the link, and within just a minute or two you will be connected to the class. Easy as that!
Can I still take your class if I only use Elements? Yes, my editing process works in any version of Photoshop CS as well as Elements 9 or above.
What special hardware will I need? You will only need to have speakers to be able to hear me during the session. Head phones actually work the best. If you are currently able to listen to music on your computer, then you are all set!
Can I ask questions during the class? Yes. Due to the fact that we have several people attending a group class at the same time, there can be a lot of back ground noise. So I have all attendees muted during the session. To ask questions you simply type them into the text box that is on your screen. You are welcome to ask questions at any point during the session as well as during our Q&A session which is the last hour of the class.
Do I need to have my own copy of Photoshop running so I can follow along? No. In fact it is recommended that you only have your web browser running as you attend the class. Depending on your own computer and the speed of your internet connection, having a robust program like Photoshop running in the background can slow down your connection. This can sometimes create lag time and a patchy connection for you.
Can I achieve your look by just purchasing an action set? No. My editing process is a combination of steps inside of Photoshop and some specific actions that I use to “tone” my photos. During the class I tell you what my preferred action sets are and I show you how to best utilize actions for more dramatic edits.
Do I need to buy any actions? No. If you are on a tight budget, you are able to use my process along with any actions you may already own or you can find plenty of free sets online. I give you multiple resources during our session.
Is there a work book or recording of the session? No, I do not provide written materials or recordings of the class. At the present time, I only offer my class in a live format. I do however recommend that you take notes as we go along. We cover a large amount of information during the session. I begin the class very slowly and explain the process for you in great detail. You will have plenty of time to take notes. Then as I continue to show you the process multiple times on different photos, you will learn my process through repetition. I have received a lot of positive feedback about how I have presented the material.
If I am a beginner with Photoshop will it be over my head? It always helps if you have a basic knowledge of where your tools are, how to use a layer mask, where your adjustment layers are etc… I am not teaching a basic Photoshop class, nor is it advanced. I simply teach you exactly what I do to edit my photos. I try to keep it as simple and straight forward as possible. I do explain and go over layer masking, adjustment layers, etc… But if you already have a little understanding of these things, it will be to your advantage and it may help you to follow along more easily. There are plenty of resources online to quickly learn these things before you attend a group class.
Will you edit some of my photos during the class? Sorry, but no. With so many people taking my classes, it would be a logistical nightmare to try to coordinate getting photos from everyone before a class. I have a specific set of photos from my own work that I use to teach my process. I use them in a specific order so that I can demonstrate the different parts of my process to you more easily.
What time will the class begin? The online group class always begins at (7pm Eastern, 6pm Central, 5pm Mountain, 4pm Pacific) and we go for about 4+ hours. These start times are based on US time zones. If you are located outside of the US, please use this site to convert to your own time zone. There is about 3 hours of instruction plus 1 hour of Q&A during an online group session.
Can I change to a different date? Yes, under certain circumstances. First it must be more than 1 week before your scheduled session and there must also be room for you in another class. If you find it necessary to change your date, please email your request to me. If I am able to accommodate your request I will gladly do so and you will be notified of the new date.
